Canadian Mennonite University is a private Mennonite university located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Three-year and four-year degrees are granted in a variety of programs. The university offers classes in three different settings: its main campus in southwest Winnipeg; its downtown campus at Menno Simons College; and a one-year international certificate program with training in Canada and Guatemala or South Africa. History

The Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) was formed through the almagamation three different colleges: the Canadian Mennonite Bible College, Concord College (formerly Mennonite Brethren Bible College), and Menno Simons College. The colleges were involved in cooperative projects as far back as 1945 but it was not until 1980 that an amalgamation project was seriously discussed.
