Cangas de Onís is a town in the eastern part of the province and autonomous community of Asturias in the northwest of Spain. Cangas de Onís was the ancient capital of the Kingdom of Asturias. It lies on the Sella River, which is there spanned by a medieval "Roman bridge". The population in 1998 was 6,211.
