Cannabidivarine, also known as cannabidivarol or CBDV, is a non_psychoactive cannabinoid found in minor amounts in the hemp plant Cannabis sativa. It is an analog of cannabidiol (CBD) with the sidechain shortened by two CH2 groups. Under acidic acidic conditions it isomerizes into the psychoactive cannabinoid tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV). CBDV is the biosynthetic precursor of THCV in the plant.
