The Canton Bulldogs played in Canton, Ohio in the National Football League from 1920 - 1923 and 1925 - 1926. In 1924, the owner of a team in Cleveland bought the team and "mothballed" it, while taking the team nickname and players to Cleveland for the season. Jim Thorpe was a player for Canton.
