The Capgemini Group is one of the world's largest information technology services and management consulting companies with over 55,000 staff worldwide. It is headquartered in Paris, France and was founded in 1967 by Serge Kampf, who is the chairman.
In May 2000, Cap Gemini bought the consulting arm of Ernst & Young and was renamed Cap Gemini Ernst & Young. In April 2004, the company was renamed Capgemini.
CapGemini adopts new Group logo; all operating companies worldwide re-brand to trade under the CapGemini name, using one name and one logo type.
In May 2000CapGemini acquired Ernst and Young Consulting and formed a new company known as "CapGemini Ernst and Young" (CGEandY).
With the selection of this name, parent company CapGemini SA pays tribute to its successful beginnings and actively responds to the need of the current market for high quality IT services delivered locally.
