The most easterly point of the Australian Mainland The headland Cape Byron is the eastern-most point (28°37′58″S, 153°38′20″E) of the continent of Australia. It has a lighthouse on it, as well as a walking trail and several look-outs, and is an excellent location to watch the migration of Humpback Whales. It is located in the town of Byron Bay.
