Capitol View Manor is a small community in Southwest Atlanta. Its boundaries include I-75/85 to the east, the Beltline to the north, Metropolitan Parkway to the west, and Atlanta Technical College to the south. Housing opions include Cape Cods, Craftsman Bungalows, Victorians, and some ranch homes, and prices range from $150,000-$250,000. Neighborhood amenities/landmarks include the historic Capitol View Babtist Church, United methodist Church, Capitol View Elementary, 10-acre Emma Millican Park, very close proximity to the Atlanta Beltline, the potential Hillside Park, and the Dill Triangle Park. Other landmarks in Capitol View, the neighborhood to the west, include the historic Masonic lodge and Perkerson Park. As of recent, there have been many developments occurring in Capitol View Manor. Emma Millican Park was selected by Park Pride to undergo the Park Visioning process, in which the community decided many new things for the relatively passive park. Capitol View Babtist Church was recently bought by developers, and they had plans to demolish the almost-70 year old church. However, it has been decided that it will remain standing.
