Cardiff Design Festival began showcasing The best of Welsh design during the summer of 2005 Since then the festival has grown into a diverse range of disciplines. The 2006 exhibition featured a portable exhibit, featuring Asbri, Howies, Hoffi, Orangebox, Studio sda, 6721, Elfen, and attic 2. The exhibit was transported to the London Design Festival, Dutch design Week alowing people from outside Wales to experience the welsh designers and their abilities.
