The Caribbean Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) is the government-owned media corporation located in Barbados. The television service broadcasts on the channel 8 and is the only legal over-the-air television channel broadcasted in the country of Barbados. The corporation also owns three radio stations, two FM stations and one AM radio station. The company also operates a wireless Cable TV subscription service called Multi-Choice TV (MCTV) which offers many television stations from across the globe, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe, and Latin America. Europe is conventionally considered one of the seven continents which, in this case, is more a cultural and political distinction than a physiogeographic one. ... CBC Channel 8 is the sole national television broadcaster and Multichoice television enjoys the lion's share of the subscription (cable) television market.
