Carla Kihlstedt, a violinist and vocalist, is a founding member of Tin Hat Trio and Sleepytime Gorilla Museum. Other musical projects include 2 Foot Yard and Charming Hostess. Kihlstedt has studied at the Peabody, San Francisco, and Oberlin Conservatories of Music.
