Carlos Catasse (b. Santiago, Chile) full name Carlos Tapia Sepúlveda, Catasse formed his new last name by taking the first two leters of his first, middle and last name and combinging them. Catasse is a Master Chilean painter of international prestige. Since 1969 he has lived and painted in Quito, Ecuador, the country that in 1987 granted him with the highest distinction that an artist can achieve, the "Painting National Prize". Catasse has had a great number of individual exhibitions in Ecuador as well as Chile, Venezuela, Switzerland, Italy, Spain, and the United States. Map of Ecuador showing location of Quito. ...
