The Carlson School of Management (CSOM) is a premier business college for undergraduates and graduates. CSOM is located on the West Bank of the University of Minnesota campus. CSOM was founded in 1919 as the University of Minnesota School of Management. With 14 faculty and 88 students enrolled. In 1986, the school was renamed after Curt Carlson, a local businessman, founder of the Carlson Companies, and a prominent donator to the University of Minnesota.
