Carnedd Dafydd is a mountain peak in the Carneddau range in Snowdonia, north Wales, and is the third highest peak in Wales, or the fourth if Crib y Ddysgl on the Snowdon ridge is counted.
Carnedd Dafydd is on the main ridge of the Carneddau, south-west of Carnedd Llywelyn and north of Pen yr Ole Wen.
It is thought to have been named after the Welsh prince Dafydd ap Llywelyn, son of Llywelyn the Great.

The ridge should be obvious in good weather, but in poor visibility the way off Carnedd Llewellyn can be hard to find, and appropriate care needs to be taken.
The walk to Carnedd Dafydd should take approximately 45 minutes, and is over fairly flat ground after the initial drop frinitial drop from Carnedd Llewelyn.
