Initially a vocalist and guitarist for the band +44 with ex-blink-182 members Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker, before the addition of guitarists Shane Gallagher and Craig Fairbaugh. Her vocals appear at the end of the demo track "No It Isn't." She sings a duet with Mark Hoppus on the album track "Make You Smile." Rumors had been floating for some time about her status in the band and her absence on +44's Website's group photo may have been an indication that she was no longer part of the band. This was later confirmed by an MTV interview with Hoppus and Barker on July 21, 2006. According to Mark Hoppus, her desire to start a family and her appearance on only two tracks of the +44 album ("Weatherman" and "Make You Smile") are the reasons why she left the band, although she still keeps in close contact with him and Travis. On November 13th, during an interview with radio station D.C. 101, Mark stated that Carol left +44 to start a family with her husband and that she is now pregnant.
