Carol fan and lookalike Amanda Hallay gives us her insight into the life of CarolWhite, one of our most undervalued and overlooked stars.
I first discovered CarolWhite after five or six people said; ‘Hey, Amanda – You look a bit like CarolWhite, you know!’ I didn’t know, so I set out to discover who my supposed doppelganger actually was – or rather, who she wasn’t.
Secondly, I love CarolWhite because she was always a bit ‘rough around the edges’; her beehive was untidy, her roots were always showing, and her mini-dresses always seemed to need a good iron.
White, who along with her husband Phil, took off and traveled the country for a year as part of making their dreams come true, knows a lot about the technology of road tripping.
