Television

In 2006 Bickmore made her foray into television on the variety show Rove Live, presenting the Carrie @ the News Desk segment for each episode. Her voice, behaviour and appearance for this segment were a parody of channel ten newsreader Sandra Sully. Often the news stories relate to actual events, but end in a twist as the punch line. A running joke throughout the segment is Carrie's quirky introductions in which she adds a quip, often playing off of social trends, music and popular culture. In 2007 Bickmore returned to variety show Rove with her part increased to a more important part of the show. While she still stars in the news segment, it is no longer done as a Sandra Sully impersonation.
