Carseldine is a suburb in the Northern suburbs of Brisbane. It is surrounded by Bald Hills and Bracken Ridge to the North, Zillmere to the South and Taigum to the East. Carseldine is notable for being the location of one of the campuses of the Queensland University of Technology. Another notable feature of Carseldine is that Brisbane's version of the Iron Curtain named the 'Curzon Line' passes right through the suburb following the course of Beams Road. Those suburbs north of the line differ vastly to those suburbs on the south, both demographically and culturally.
