Casillas is a city in the department of Santa Rosa. The city's population is approximately 6,500 and the spoken language is Spanish. The nearest cities are El Jute, Minas, Guadalupe, Chapas and San Juan Tapalapa. The population is mainly Catholic and the city's festivities to honor the "Cristo Negro" takes place in January 12-16. The fair consists of many events which includes dances, rodeo and carnival rides.
