Reason to this failure was the game was plagued by several problems, such as the clunky complicated controls and the awkward camera system, which many of the casual players disapproved thus it didn't work too well. However, years later IGA set out to fix those problems and unleashes Castlevania: Lament of Innocence for the PS2 which improves everything that plagued this game, and even surpasses it in alot of ways.
