The first section contains all the original opening material of the opera, up until the first iteration of "Summertime." "Porgy Sings" contains two of Porgy's arias: "I Got Plenty o' Nuttin'" and "Bess, You Is My Woman Now." "Fugue" contains the music around the murder of Crown in Act III scene 1. "Hurricane" conatins music from Act II, Scene 3, while "Good Morning, Brother" contains much of the cut material from the end of the opera.
