Rosie O'Donnell and the publisher of her now-defunct magazine accused each other in court Thursday of destroying the publication by refusing to compromise on its content.
O'Donnell said the photo was selected without her involvement; G+J said she threw a "tantrum" because the photo was unflattering.
O'Donnell, she said, saw the choice as another sign that her wishes were not being respected.
Cathy O'Donnell at Reel Classics (628 words)
Cathy O'Donnell radiated the charm of the girl-next-door in a number of first-rate films, but she never quite ingratiated herself into the studio system and as a result, her career slowed to a halt by the end of the 1950s.
O'Donnell has a supporting role as the friend of a young man being held on a theft charge, and in my opinion, this performance is the best of her career -- youthful, innocent, down-to-earth and completely credible.
O'Donnell had a mid-sized role as Barbara Waggoman, Stewart's love interest, and although effective in some moments, at other times her puppy-dog eyes seem out of place amid the intensity of much of the rest of the film.
