Cedar Hill Lakes is a village located in Jefferson County, Missouri. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 229.


Geography

Cedar Hill Lakes is located at 38°19'43" North, 90°39'29" West (38.328696, _90.657962)1.


According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.7 km˛ (0.3 mi˛). 0.6 km˛ (0.2 mi˛) of it is land and 0.1 km˛ (0.04 mi˛) of it is water. The total area is 10.71% water.


Demographics

As of the census2 of 2000, there are 229 people, 82 households, and 61 families residing in the village. The population density is 353.7/km˛ (921.4/mi˛). There are 95 housing units at an average density of 146.7/km˛ (382.2/mi˛). The racial makeup of the village is 97.82% White, 0.00% African American, 0.44% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.87% from other races, and 0.87% from two or more races. 0.87% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.


There are 82 households out of which 36.6% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.5% are married couples living together, 9.8% have a female householder with no husband present, and 25.6% are non-families. 20.7% of all households are made up of individuals and 3.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.79 and the average family size is 3.33.


In the village the population is spread out with 30.1% under the age of 18, 7.0% from 18 to 24, 32.3% from 25 to 44, 23.1% from 45 to 64, and 7.4% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 37 years. For every 100 females there are 100.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 102.5 males.


The median income for a household in the village is $54,375, and the median income for a family is $58,750. Males have a median income of $36,964 versus $30,000 for females. The per capita income for the village is $20,222. 5.6% of the population and 3.7% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 3.3% of those under the age of 18 and 16.7% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.

MISSOURI, a north-central state of the United States of America, and one of the greatest and richest, and economically one of the most nearly independent, in the Union, lying almost midway between the two oceans, the Gulf of Mexico and Canada.
