Celebration Day is the third track from Led Zeppelin's 1970 album Led Zeppelin III. The song starts off with the moog synthesizer sound at the end of their previous song on the album. It is a song made up of jangling guitar riffs and a hypnotic, trance-like mood. The song nearly didn't see the light of day, as part of the master tape was crinkled and wouldn't go through the tape heads. The use of the synthesizer was used to disguise the edit required to salvage the track. The song was played often on Zeppelin tours, particularly in 1971 and 1972 when the band visited Japan, Britain and Australia.
