He was born in an acommodated and galicianist family. When he was 20 years old, in 1932, he created with Xosé Velo Mosquera the Mocedades Galeguistas de Celanova and he also participated in the creation of the Federación de Mocedades Galeguistas in 1934. Some time after he was accused because an article published in Guieiro, his own magazine. He was mobilized in the Spanish Civil War by the troops of Franco. He studied Law and he contributed in many magazines and newspapers until 1966, when he emigrated to Venezuela, where he collaborated with the "Galician Brotherhood".
