Center Hill is near and around Bowen Homes and Bankhead Cts. The community is a nice and quiet neighborhood, but times have now changed and the neighborhood has now become kind of rough. The nearest schools are West Fulton Middle School(West Fulton High School) Center Hill Elementary and Douglass High School and Turner and Anderson Middle school.
In the 60's and 70's, this community was a place of beauty. You could walk around the neighborhood without fear, and still can in certain areas, but certain streets may still lead you into trouble. I love growing up here. I remember the goodtimes & the bad times growing up here and the almost life ending event here.
I like it the most because there were a lot of department stores,restaurants,and a park you can go to in walking distance from where I lived. You had The Famous Libra Club a couple of blocks from here. Everything before changes in the Mid 80's to Early 90's,was conveniently accessible and you didn't have to travel much for anything. It is and should be a historic neighborhood here in Atlanta,GA
