Cerklje ob Krki is small town in southern Slovenia, near the border with Croatia. A new NATO base currently being built in Cerklje ob Krki is expected to become operational in 2010.
The NATO facility will build upon an existing military aviation complex, originally constructed by the Yugoslav government as a JNA air base.
