The Cervecería Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma is a major Mexican brewery, founded in 1890. It is a subsidiary of FEMSA, the largest beverage company in Mexico. Based in Monterrey, Nuevo León, the brewery also operates plants in Tecate, Navojoa, Guadalajara, Toluca and Orizaba. The company has an annual production of 660 million liters (175 million gallons) of the brands Carta Blanca, Tecate, Bohemia, Indio, Sol, XX, Noche Buena and Kloster. Cervecería Cuauhtémoc was founded in Monterrey in 1890 by Don Isaac Farza, José Calderón, José A. Muguerza, Francisco G. Sada, Josph M. Schnaider and Francisco Sada, starting with the Carta Blanca brand. In the following years as they developed, the company founded other businesses, such as a glass company called Vitro and the cardboard box company Titán.
