The C sar Award is the national film award of France first given out in 1975. The nominations are made by the members of the Acad mie des Arts et Techniques du Cinema.


The nationally televised award ceremony is held in the Th atre du Ch telet, in Paris each February.


The name of the award comes from the sculptor, C sar Baldaccini (1921-1998). The trophies are actual sculptures of the artist.

A 1999 report by CESAR for the Maryland Drug Early Warning System (DEWS) identified ecstasy as an emerging drug in Maryland.
A series of interviews with teenage girls and boys, some in drug treatment or the juvenile justice system and some who had never used drugs, are the highlight of the video.
