Chad Greenway (born January 12, 1983 in Mount Vernon, South Dakota) is an American football player who plays for the Minnesota Vikings. He entered the 2006 NFL Draft, where he was drafted by the Vikings with the 17th pick in the first round. Prior to that, Greenway played for the Iowa Hawkeyes from 2002 to 2005. Iowa Hawkeye career

Greenway redshirted his freshman season in 2001. As a redshirt freshman in 2002, he suffered a knee injury that required surgery and did not play in the first four games. In 2003, he started at linebacker in all 13 games ans was named to the Second team all-Big Ten, Ten Conference co-Defensive Player of the Week vs. Arizona State, and won Hustle Team Award. In 2004, he was named aFirst team all-American by Pro Football Weekly, a second team all-American by CNNSI.com, a third team all-American by CollegeSportsReport.com, to the first team all-Big Ten, to thefirst team all-Big Ten by Collegefootballnews.com, theSpecial Teams Player of the Year, the Hustle Team Award, defense, was one of three juniors selected to team Leadership Council for 2004 season, and named pre-season honorable mention all-America squad selected by NationalChamps.net. In 2005, was named to Pre-season all-America by The Sporting News, NationalChamps.net and Playboy, ranked as #2 outside linebacker by The Sporting News, and named to Bronko Nagurski Watch List and Lott Trophy Watch List.
