Notable facts - There is a small community called "Chagrin Falls Park," also known as "The Park," located on the outskirts of the village, which is predominantly African-American. The Park is located within Bainbridge Township in Geauga County. The students who live in The Park attend schools in the Kenston School District because they live in Geauga County and not in Cuyahoga county where the village is located and were drawn out of the Chagrin Falls School district when the current lines were drawn due to the demographics of the area. The Park was originally platted in the early 1900s as vacation homes for Jewish residents from the city of Cleveland. During World War I, it became home to many African-Americans who took jobs in a nearby mill.
- "Chagrin Falls" is a song by The Tragically Hip on the Phantom Power album (released 1998).
- Images of the town can be seen in the movies House Arrest (1996) andThe Gathering (1977 made-for-television movie starring Edward Asner and Maureen Stapleton).
- Chagrin Falls resident Bill Watterson may have based the surroundings in his comic strip Calvin and Hobbes on his hometown. For example, on the back cover of The Essential Calvin and Hobbes, Calvin is depicted rampaging through an extremely accurate depiction of the town triangle. There are also several appearances of Buckeye nuts and Buckeye Trees [Aesculus glabra], which are fairly common in the area as well as in plenty of Ohio's forests.
- The Pumpkin roll is an annual student event held on Grove Hill and was featured on ESPN's "The Not Top 10 Plays of the Week" .
- A locally famous drinking game, "Chagrin Falls", is named after the town.
