Chaharshanbe Suri (in Persian: چهارشنبه‌سوری) is the national Persian Festival of Fire. It is celeberated in the last tuesday evening before the Noruz (Iranian New Year). On this occasion people make bon-fires on the streets and jump over them. The young use much firework before and during the Chaharshanbe Suri (lit. The Feast of Wednesday). Tuesday is the third day of the week, between Monday and Wednesday. ...
