Platforms 1 and 2 share the same elevated island platform. Passengers from Chai Wan going to Sheung Wan can board trains on either platforms. In the future, Chai Wan may be extended to Siu Sai Wan to the east, and it is probable that Platform 1 will become the eastbound platform when it's finished.
