Haim (or Chaim) Aharon Valero (1846-1923) born in Jerusalem, Palestine. Son of Ya`akov Valero (1813-1874) who established the first private bank "Jacob Valero & Co.", in Palestine. In 1874 become head of the Valero Bank in Jerusalem.After his brothers death , become head of the family and general manager of the Valero Bank in Palestine. Haim Aharon was the first person chosen to the Sephardi Kollel leadership who was not a rabbi. He headed the Jerusalem Sephardi community for twenty five years. He served as a member of the District Council, the mixed court, and the consular courts in Jerusalem.
