Chalice has endured interminable personnel restructures over the years, but always revolved around the core of vocalist Shiralee Morgan and drummer Adrian Bickle who formed the band originally as Jeneaha in late 1996. After the recording of a demo, Jeneaha split and the pair changed the band name to Chalice.


The band played at the long-running Metal For The Brain festival in 2001 and in 2003 supported Opeth and Mayhem. Metal for the Brain is Australias largest heavy metal music festival. ... CHALICE, one of Australia's most unique bands recently packed their bags and left their Adelaide home for an East Coast tour.
We were all friends with these bands and ended up putting shows on together and there was a bit of acceptance fo female vocals and melodic metal within the scene.
Chalice is a rare breed of band within the Aussie metal scene as I can't think of any other band that is doing what you are doing.
