Academic profile

CJU's student population includes 8,000 undergraduate and 1,000 graduate students in over 20 bachelor programs, 12 master programs and 1 doctoral program in four faculties (as of 2004-2005). At present, Chang Jung Christian University has four major colleges: Management; Health Science; Humanities and Social Sciences and Information and Engineering, along with one doctoral program, fifteen masters programs, twenty-three bachelor programs, nine research centers and three teaching and learning centers.


Organization

A president heads the university, which is divided into the following colleges:

  • College of Management
  • College of Public Health
  • Division of Continuing Education and Professional Development

In addition, the International Chinese Language Program (ICLP), formerly known as the Stanford Center and the Inter-University Program, and considered one of the world's premiere programs for instruction in formal Chinese is located at National Taiwan University. The International Chinese Language Program, or ICLP as it is affectionately called by its students, teachers, and alumni, is one of the worlds premiere institutions for intensive training in formal, standard Mandarin Chinese. ...


Each college is further subdivided into a number of departments and graduate institutes. Most departments have their own buildings and are autonomous in setting up study programs, appointing faculty and accepting graduate students.


A part of the governing body of the University is also the student union where representatives from each college are elected every year.
