Charged GBH is a British punk rock band, formed by voclist Collin Abrahall, guitarist Colin 'Jock' Blyth, bassist Sean McCarthy, and drummer Andrew Williams in 1978. Biography

Originally known simply as GBH (inspired by then-bassist Sean McCarthy's trial for grievous bodily harm), their name was changed to Charged GBH in order to differentiate themselves from another band of the same name. Founding members were Colin 'Col' Abrahall (vocals), Colin 'Jock' Blyth (guitar), Sean McCarthy (bass) and Andrew Williams (drums). Unlike many early punk bands who evolved towards a more post-punk sound, GBH have stayed fairly faithful to their original UK82 sound in subsequent releases. However, the band have experimented to some degree with a more metal-inflected sound, notably with their 1992 release Church of the Truly Warped, although they have since returned to a more purist punk sound. GBH had left the label "Clay Records" and signed on to "Rough Justice", and just like all punk bands in the middle of the 80´s, they had flipped out totally.
GBH continued to release horrible records such as "No Need To Panic" in 1987, "Wot A Bargin" in 1988, "A Fridge To Far" in 1989, "From Here To Reality" in 1990 and "Church Of The Truly Wraped" in 1992.
GBH released many albums and singles but their most succesfull albums are the LP City Baby Attacked By Rats and the following up LP City Baby's Revenge.
