Charing is a small village in England at the foot of the North Downs. It is sited on the pilgrims way and is one day's walk from Canterbury. Its most famous building is the Archbishop's Palace, which is very original although also in a very dilapidated state. The Palace was an important building in the diocese of Canterbury counting amongst its guests King Henry VIII. It has been a farmhouse for the last 300 years.
