"Earlier before, I have shared with everyone some of my acting experiences. This time, I want to talk about movies. As an artist, whenever I'm working, I have to show the best side and give the best performance to everyone. I have to show the most fit side of me and hence, I'm often in "battling mood". When free, I like to watch slow-pace movies. The too exciting movies I can't stand. I'm the type who can be easily thrown into the world of the movie. Those type of fast-pace movies will end up making me tense and nervous so comedy, romance or humanity issue discussion movies are all more suitable for me."

The Illuminated Lantern - Asian Cinema Reviews: Diva ah Hey (329 words)
Charlene Choi is the simple daughter of a fishmonger (Lam Suet), who dreams of becoming a star.
Charlene Choi bobbles around and endears herself to everyone but the audience; I found her performance to be so completely insincere as to become repulsive.
But he is a marvel compared to Choi, who plays scenes with Lam Suet, who is supposed to play her father, as if they don't even know each other.Jordan Chan mostly just looks dour and conflicted, perhaps even a little constipated, throughout.
Hidden Heroes (2004) (1268 words)
As the always-smiling androids, Choi is a caricature of her own Twins persona, and gamely performs the brain-dead robot act to an annoying extreme.
But the "Charlene Choi thing" has also earned her the label of "insufferable", which is something that Hidden Heroes will likely not change.
If may seem blasphemous to even mention Charlene Choi and Maggie Cheung in the same sentence, but once upon a time, Maggie Cheung was as chipmunk-cheeked and annoyingly girlish as Choi is now.
