In 1987, Charles David entered the fashion market as a distributor of European shoes in the U.S. market. In 1988, the first Charles David retail store was opened on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, CA and quickly gained a fashion-conscious and trend-setting customer base. Today, Charles David has 25 retail stores nationwide. Charles David also has a very strong wholesale division selling in major department stores and specialty stores nationwide. Melrose Avenue is a popular shopping street stretching from Santa Monica Boulevard in Beverly Hills to Hoover Street near Downtown Los Angeles. ... Charles David retail stores serve as a showcase for all three lines Charles David, Charles by Charles David and recently launched Exchange by Charles David. All lines are manufactured by factories in Spain, Italy and Asia and designed by our in-house design team.
