Charles Douglas is an indie-rock musician from Dayton, Ohio, born in 1977. He has recorded several albums for Caroline Records and Redeye. One of them, "The Lives of Charles Douglas," was produced by Maureen Tucker of the Velvet Underground, who also played drums. Another, "Statecraft," features Joey Santiago of The Pixies on guitars. Under the name "Alex McAulay," Charles is also a novelist, whose first book, "Bad Girls," was published in the summer of 2005 by MTV/Pocket Books.
