Charles E. "Charlie" Rice was born in 1931 in an Irish Catholic family from New York. He has been a lawyer, a legal scholar, a Catholic Apologist, and the author of 11 books. Recently he has been under fire for his criticism of the Ave Maria Law School administration's decision to move the school to Florida.
