Charles Randolph "Charlie" Korsmo (born July 20, 1978) is an American who appeared as a child actor in several movies in the early 1990s, but now primarily works outside of the acting sphere. He was born in Fargo, North Dakota and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Major movies included Dick Tracy (where he played "The Kid", later known as "Dick Tracy, Jr."), What About Bob? (where he played Siggie, the son of Richard Dreyfuss' character, named after Sigmund Freud), and Hook (where he played the son of Peter Pan, whom Captain Hook tries to convert to piracy). He returned to the big screen with a secondary role in 1998's Can't Hardly Wait. Korsmo attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he obtained a degree in physics in 2000. In 2002, he accepted a position with the United States federal government to work on missile defense. He has also spent time working for the Republican Party in the House of Representatives and the Environmental Protection Agency. He received a Juris Doctor degree from Yale University Law School in 2006 [1]. At Yale, he was a member of the Federalist Society, an organization for politically conservative law students [2]. In January 2006, he, along with other Yale Law students, signed his name to an open letter to Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Spector supporting the nomination of Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court [3].
