The Fight

The Cartoon Sushi Celebrity Deathmatch starts like any other. Johnny Gomez and Nick Diamond introduce themselves and Mills Lane. They then begin to describe the fight. Marilyn Manson is described as using a fighting style known as "ha-ka-tu". Charles Manson is wearing a white disposable diaper, and is described as "utilizing a fighting style which can only be described as 'pure, uninhibited madness'". Charles Manson runs towards Marilyn Manson. Marilyn puts his hand out and throws Charles across the ring. Charles locks his jaw back in place. He runs toward Marilyn and starts trying to hit him. Marylin then jumps on Charles, who kicks him across the ring. Charles jumps on Marilyn, gets him into a stranglehold, and bites off his left shoulder, which flies into the center of the ring, sprouts six legs, and crawls off. Mills Lane then inspects and comforts Marilyn. He awards Charles two points for biting. Charles then runs out to bite Marilyn again. Marilyn reaches into Charles' throat, pulls out his skeleton and throws it into the audience. Charles lies there, holds up his arm, and dies.

Trivia

  • This fight was later added to the beginning of the rerun of Deathbowl '98 to pad out the half-hour running time. (Not as part of the actual Deathbowl, but as a sort of pre-show)
  • An additional unused clip of Johnny having a post-fight interview with Marilyn and Nick interviewing Charles' boneless body (which spoke in nothing but gurgles, showing that he wasn't quite dead yet) was available on MTV's Deathmatch site early in the show's run.
  • For the original Cartoon Sushi version, Nick had a different voice. When the fight was shown during a clip show in a later season, Len Maxwell dubbed over all of the old voice's dialogue.
  • Marv Albert (himself) was CDM's first interviewer he was just a normal interviewer however he was only around for three episodes before being replaced with Stacey Cornbred.
