Charleston Area Regional Transportation Authority or CARTA is a bus system in Charleston, South Carolina, USA. It serves Charleston and some of its suburbs with 31 routes and a fleet of 54 buses. The system operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. CARTA has hopes of expanding the transportation in Charleston with adding more routes and hopefully getting Charleston a light rail system.
