Charter One was a Cleveland-based bank that was acquired in 2004 by Citizens Financial Group. Except in New York state, where the branches were rebranded as Citizens Bank, the Charter One name remains in use, but adopted a logo similar to the one Citizens Bank had at the same time just changed to so that they could better identify themselves as a member of the Royal Bank of Scotland.
