Chauncey Billups attended Denver's George Washington High School, where he was a four-time All-State first team pick, Colorado Mr. Basketball three times, and Colorado Player of the Year as a sophomore and as a junior. He was selected to the 1995 McDonald's All-American Team but did not play due to a shoulder injury, an injury that he would have a problem with off and on throughout his early career. Chauncey is so low-key that I think a lot of times people take what he does on the floor for granted, because his main attribute is being in control of everything on the floor.
Chauncey Billups is an elite point guard who is actually still improving and is the best fit for being the leader/conductor of the current makeup of these Detroit Pistons.
Chauncey might be too much of a "flip the switch" kind of guy, but I really thinks he picks and chooses his spots during a game to focus on his own offense.
