Encyclopedia > Chay Santini

Chay Lynn Santini (Born 1976 in San Juan, Puerto Rico), is a member of the elite group known in the world of fashion as "Super Models". She is also an aspiring actress.

Chay lived with her parents and attended primary school in San Juan. She moved to Florida where she enrolled in the Florida State University. Chay studied and modeled at the same time for magazines and for companies, such as Avon. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Studio Art.

In 1998, Chay landed a small and uncredited part as a cheerleader in Adam Sandler's movie "The Waterboy". That motivated her to try her hand in acting. Chay enrolled and attended The School for Film and Television Acting School.

Also, in 1998, Chay was honored by being named "Latina Super Model of the Year" by Avon. She returned to Puerto Rico and on September 21, 2000, she represented San Juan in the Miss World Puerto Rico pageant. She was second runner-up to Miss Puerto Rico Barbara Serrano, who went on to become Miss World that year.

Chay dreams of someday having her own television fitness show for teens and pre-teens. Chay once wrote a letter about her program idea to one of her role models,Gilad, host of the cable television show "Bodies in Motion". He responded with a personal phone call, offering encouragement, and has since critiqued the sample video she's produced about her program.
