Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow. The movie opens with an unrelated assassination of a man. A sexy female assassin walks into the room and kills a man by breaking his spine. After a daring escape the assassin is unexpectly wounded by a car bomb. Officer Jack Chen arrives at the scene in an attempt to take her for questioning. However she is mysteriously killed by a woman dressed in black. We later learn she is Madam M, the assassin's mentor. Young girls across the global mysteriously disappear one by one. The only relationship between the girls is that they are all trained in martial arts. These girls are then transported to an island for "secret" training. It turns out the girls were abducted by Madam M in order to be trained as female assassins. After several years of gruesome training, only Charlene (Maggie Q), Katt (Anya) and Jing (Jewel Lee) survive to become the deadliest female assassins in the world. Charlene and Katt develop a special bond and remain relatively human while Jing is transformed into a cold-blooded killer.
