Dragons are primarily diurnal, although many species have been recorded abroad during the night.
Most dragons are primarily ground dwelling, but some are strongly, although not exclusively, arboreal, e.g., Caimanops, Chelosania, Chlamydosaurus and Diporiphora superba.
One dragon, Physignathus, is semi-aquatic, sometimes feeding in water and often fleeing to it.
