My cricket career could be neatly divided into three parts-the years before I went to Hyderabad, the ten years there during which my first class career began, grew and ended and the final ten years back in Madras, when I played first division league cricket all over again.
The Madras cricket of that period, i.e., from the fifties to the seventies will probably never come back, as cricket has changed at least in its external trappings, in Madras as elsewhere in the world.
